Dear Family & Friends of our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

“Sing to the LORD a new song, sing to the LORD all of the earth, Sing to the LORD praise His Name!  Proclaim His salvation day after day! Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds to all peoples.”  Psalm 96:1-3

My heart and spirit are filled with glory and praise this morning as I think on GOD’S wonderful grace and mercy through CHRIST to all who trust in Him.  Our work in Russia for this summer is over, and the LORD has greatly blessed every part of it.  His SPIRIT has been working through our Bible distribution and through our camps in a tremendous way this summer. 

We have just completed our last camp outside of the city of Penza.  We met with between 70-80 youth and young adults (almost twice as many as we had last year), most of which had never been to a Christian Bible Camp before (about ¼ of them were at camp last year). Pastor Mark Benz, an AFLC pastor and retired US military chaplain from Maryland, joined us on Wednesday for the rest of the camp.  Each morning I shared with them on what faith in GOD-in CHRIST means for our lives and for eternity from the faith chapter of Hebrews 11, and Mark shared on the importance of GOD’S Word and prayer in our daily lives.  In the evenings we shared on the reality of GOD’S eternal Kingdom, which is already here, and which CHRIST will soon bring in all of its fullness.  During these days it was evident that GOD was doing a real work in many of the lives of these young people and this became visible at our last evening service on Friday night.  After the message on the new Heaven and earth from Revelation 21 & 22, almost a third of them responded by repenting of their sin and receiving CHRIST into their life or recommitting their lives to CHRIST. Both the tears and the joy ran high as GOD’S SPIRIT ministered to their hearts and souls.  GOD also blessed the service in that there were about 15 or so other adults from Penza that joined us for this last service, including three or four other pastors from different churches.  These pastors and churches have never worked together before on any mission outreach.  This was the first time their young people had fellowshipped together, and they were all greatly blessed by the unity and how GOD was working in the lives of these young people through this camp.  They are exited about working together now in reaching out to more youth and young adults in the city, and in continuing to grow the outreach of the Bible camp to even more youth next year. 

I believe GOD is using our ministry in various places in Russia to help strengthen and grow His Kingdom work in Russia particularly in the lives of children and youth. It is a great joy for me to see how the LORD is working in Russia, and how GOD is using our ministry here. 

Today we have a 12 hour trip to Moscow, and then I catch my flight home on Tuesday.  I am excited to get home and I commit His Word that I have sown here in Russia this summer to the honor and glory of our SAVIOR and LORD JESUS CHRIST! Slava Boga  - Russian for: Praise GOD!
